Friends can come from anywhere, even the least likely of candidates. Sillow and Brok are opposites in every way, yet their partnership was paramount to their victories. It was a partnership that slowly evolved into a friendship that would span decades.
This connection between the book's protagonists was my favorite aspect in the story. Thier repartee was humorous and fun. But more than that, it was the character development that I most enjoyed. The story is more of a saga, spanning many years. However, the author manages to maintain the overall plot through out. All scenes are relevant to to the story. It was a great read.
