Interesting Author Tidbit:
This story has a special place in my heart for many reasons. My love of writing originated with
my Mom who was an avid reader. Ironically, she lost her life to the effects of diabetes six
months before my first story was published in a collection whose proceeds will benefit the fight
of this terrible disease. I am honored to be part of such a worthy cause.

I believe stories can change lives. I wrote Campfire while thinking about choices and how some

My story is about embracing the emotions and experiences that make us human. I have a passion
for the cause of fighting diabetes because it has affected my life since before I was born. I had a
brother who died, and it has hovered like a shadow over my father’s heart for over forty years. I
hope this helps him find forgiveness.
