Book Review:
Fluctuations

Author: Nancy M. Griffis
Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy/Adventure

It is a mysterious and potentially dangerous region of the universe. Yet, the galaxies wealthiest pay for the privilege of journeying into this vast expansion of space.  This is known as the Fluctuation, where anything can happen.  And of course, it does!

Disaster strikes and suddenly the only ones left on board are a socialite, an orphaned boy, a snarky robot and really big talking cat.  I really enjoyed this motley crew of characters.  Each possessed their own distinct personality and were wonderfully three dimensional.

We truly don't know what we are made of or who we truly are until adversity strikes.  I loved watching these unlikely heroes persevere and grow until the very end.  The books holds much humor, but the reader also shares in their victories and their fears.

The story is fast paced and unfolded naturally through the character's actions and voice.  I really enjoyed the author's writing style, it's sassy, yet poignant when needed.  The story flowed with ease and  has the necessary bumps in the road to make you want to keep reading.
