How to Make a
Book Trailer for FREE
by A.E. Albert
However, if you want to to make a short video about your up and coming eBook for free and post it on Amazon, Smashwords, Youtube or wherever else, I'll tell you.
Making your Book Trailer:
- Use PowerPoint. Anyone with windows has it.
- Download Photoscape. A great free picture editor with great effects. I used Publisher and Photoscape to create my images and then inserted them into my PowerPoint presentation.
- It's very difficult to find license free music. But an audio track is necessary to set the mood for your trailer. Go to Incomptech. All you have to do is give them credit in a visible area in your video. But definitely read the licensing info when you go to their site.
- Once you have your music you can go to mp3cut.net to shorten your track and to fade it, or go to audio-joiner.com to splice more then one together.
- If you have PowerPoint 13 you can turn it into a video, if not download a free trial from digital office pro. This program leaves no watermarks.
- You can put your video permanently on your blog. Copy the video embed code on YouTube. Go to layout>java>paste the code in.
- BE CREATIVE.
I know how difficult this self-publishing business is. However, with a little bit of creativity and determination, you can create something worth watching. Hey, we're writers after all, creativity is in our blood!
