Sun's day, Moon's Day: Days of the Week is a wonderful children's story centered on a lesson about the Solar System in the guise of a short fable. The author does a very good job conveying information without being dull or boring.
The illustrations are also simple and to the point, complementing the narration.
It is a well written story that is easy to understand, but with interesting language. It mixes imagination with learning, which will engage any child.
Overall, Sun's Day, Moon's Day is an enjoyable read and I recommend it for all children.

Thanks for the link Aimee. Interestingly enough.. This fiction has a link to The Representative: they're both fables, set in outer space. (I wondered, just a few moments ago: is that why you gave me this link? Probably not, but the instinct to think as such was correct.)
ReplyDeleteJust a smart children's book and I wanted to promote it. Much more simple than The Representative I would think lol
DeleteThis would no longer interest my son, who is ten now, and it's a shame, because it seems very interesting. I like the naive illustration on the cover, and I'm sure that the story is just as good. Wonderful review, thank you!
ReplyDeleteVery simple story, but smart.
