Book Review:
New Beginnings
(Book 3)
by A.E. Albert
Author: Jeff W. Horton
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
With the help of alien technology, Earth has finally passed the threshold of the solar system and is ready to explore the outer realms of space. After a rogue planet nearly collides with Earth, it is decided that humanity must begin to colonize other worlds to ensure it's survival. The perfect planet is chosen, New Eden. However, this untouched world holds dangers of it's own.
There are many messages throughout the story. My favorite is the power of forgiveness and it's power to change even the hardest of hearts.
I'm a huge fan of science fiction. I love being whisked away and transported to another world. I think this is the book's greatest element. The author is very adept at not only creating whole new planets, but entirely new cultures with detailed and intriguing histories.
However, the plot still fluctuates, delivering the reader action, suspense and even a little romance. The plotline contains many characters. Yet, the author was able to give each their own personality with diversity and depth.
Overall, New Beginnings is a well written book and I recommend it to any sci-fi fan.
