The Mirror is about an ordinary girl who suddenly finds herself in extraordinary circumstances. Unbeknownst to our heroine, she is destined save a world. However, this burden thrust upon her forever changes her place in her own. She now must battle evil forces to save herself and everyone she loves.
We may think that we know what lies ahead on the road of life, however, there are many forks on this path. Yet even when we think we have choices to make, perhaps we are given more of a push than we realize. Fate plays a pivotal role in the story. Through many trials and seemingly dead ends, love conquers all.
The Mirror is a fast paced fantasy set in far off lands between worlds. You meet many different characters as the story moves through these many settings. What I liked most about the book is the abrupt turns it takes. The reader finds themselves in very unexpected situations and places. I did not see where the author was going to take me in the final installment of the book. It was a wonderful twist and very original.
H. R. Kasper is a writer, photographer, sports fanatic, animal lover, and self-proclaimed grammar Nazi. She lives in northeast Ohio with her family on ten acres of beautiful, wooded land.
