Book Review: Krishta, the Daughter of Martev
by A.E. Albert

Author: Gita V. Reddy
Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy/Children's book

Suraj is living the life of a typical boy.  One day, he meets Krishta, who is everything but typical. She is a being far from Earth and has come to learn about our sciences. However, it is Suraj who learns from Krishta.

Suraj sees through Krishta what Earth could be.  However, if we keep down this dark path, Earth won't survive. Reddy uses the delightful Krishta to send the message that science and technology, if used wisely, can bring us to a brighter future.

I enjoyed the core plot of the book, a young extraterrestrial visiting Earth and befriending the young Suraj. Krishta is vibrant and entertaining. The plot is fast paced, imaginative and well written.

I would have liked to have seen more to the story and further character and story development of the antagonist.  This is a compliment to Reddy because overall it is a wonderful tale and I wanted to delve deeper in.

I think this is a great book for young children.  It is a clean read and speaks to the imagination.
